Volunteer Translation Bridges Language Gap to Provide Access to Information for Elections, Nutrition, Health

DALLAS (May 13, 2012) - LocalizationGuy, LLC, is a bronze sponsor supporting Translators without Borders, a non-profit that assists in translating critical information for NGOs such as Médecins sans Frontières (Doctors without Borders), Médecins du Monde, Action Against Hunger, Oxfam US and Handicap International.

"Lori Thicke and Translators without Borders are doing important work that highlights what a powerful impact the localization industry can have when the flow of information might otherwise be inhibited by language barriers" said Aki Ito, president of LocalizationGuy, LLC.

Translators without Borders was founded in 1993 by Lori Thicke. The group has translated over 8.5 million words into dozens of languages on a volunteer basis to increase access to information impacting education, health, nutrition and elections. Visit the Translators without Borders site for more information.
